The Council comprises parent representatives from the eleven NSW/ACT dioceses, the Chair of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Committee, and Catholic congregational schools, representing parents and carers in almost 600 Catholic schools.

To inspire and enable parents and carers to build communities of faith and hope.
To provide leadership, advocacy and support for parents and carers of children in NSW Catholic schools.
Parent volunteers are endorsed on an annual basis by their diocesan director of schools or the CRMNA Chair. Each Councillor is supported by an ‘executive officer’, who is an employee from their diocese or CRMNA.
A diocesan parent organisation is the membership body for all systemic Catholic schools within a particular diocese. Catholic diocesan (or systemic) schools therefore affiliate to the Council through their diocesan organisation.
Where a parent organisation does not exist, the Catholic schools in the diocese are represented by a parent nominated by the diocesan education office. Congregational schools affiliate directly to the Council.
The CCSP is led and supported by a Chair elected from its membership, the Management Committee, and its Executive Director and Secretariat.
Normally, a parent volunteer joins the CCSP as a Council member elected or nominated through their diocesan processes. They may spend the whole of their time with the CCSP as a Council member or they may wish to deepen their involvement by taking on a position on the Management Committee, once they have served for a period of 12 months.
I am passionate about family engagement and I work with the Council of Catholic School Parents to listen to and support parents and carers on their journey with their children throughout their school life and beyond. I particularly like engaging with our parents and carers in rural and remote areas and hearing their stories and experiences. I look forward to offering the services of the Council of Catholic School Parents in the year ahead.
